MACON, GA | A year and a half into its operation, the Mercer Landing pedestrian bridge is almost exclusively used by Mercer University students, despite having been primarily paid for with more than $2 million in public funds on the grounds that it would improve safety for both Mercer and the general public.

Jay Sekulow Delivers 2018 Founders’ Day Address Despite Student Opposition

The annual event, which typically occurs with little fanfare, attracted controversy this year when students spoke out against the university inviting Sekulow back to campus. His past comments regarding the LGBTQ community prompted about 20 students to attend the speech while draped in rainbow flags.
